Silver miner turned oil prospector, Daniel Plainview, embarks upon a relentless pursuit of money and power in which he clashes with a local priest and uses his adopted son for personal gain. Paul Thomas Anderson’s magnum opus is as monumental in its acting performances as it is in cinematography and the sheer perfection of its story.
